| Text of article: | Managed Health Care Top Executives Ed Michael Reggie has served in senior management at American LifeCare since its inception in 1983 and currently serves as board chairman. His industry leadership includes service on the board of directors of the American Association of Preferred Provider Organizations, the Louisiana Health Care Commission and the executive committee of the Louisiana Association of Health Plans. He has had an extensive consulting practice that has included serving as chief executive officer of a rural hospital chain, advising independent physician associations and physician hospital organizations and consulting for international hospital management corporations. In addition, Reggie has served as a healthcare system examiner in human rights delegations to Cuba, Syria, Jordan, Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories. Reggie served as a delegate on a recent mission to Haiti with Freedom From Hunger, a global to provide economic development and health education to poor women. He serves on the board of directors of the American Red Cross, Central Mississippi Chapter: He holds a faculty appointment in the Department of Health Systems Management at the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. In addition, he serves on the Provost Council of Tulane University Prior to joining American LifeCare, Reggie was a commercial bank president where he set several bank earnings and deposit growth records. He received his master of business administration degree from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business. |
