CROWLEY, La. — Sixteen affidavits filed in the Crowley city court within the past several days have been accepted and signed by Judge Edmund M. Reggie. They are as follows:
Assistant Chief C. J. Stelly o f Crowley charges Leonce Simon alias Pichine Simon with the theft of a 1949 Ford the property of C. W. Tucker of Crowley. Bond of $1,500 has been set on Simon.
Stelly also charges Charles Glen Comeaux of Lafayette with burglary by breaking and entering Hamic's Service Station in Crowley.
Sgt. L. E. Johnson of the State Police charges Joseph E. Matt of Eunice with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor in the 6th ward of Acadia.
Viola Lewis charges Marshall Roy with simple battery on h e r person by choking and striking her.
B. P. Reed of Crowley charges Joseph R. Spell of Crowley with theft of $88.01 by issuing a worthless check, the check being returned marked no account.
Clive Lejeune of Iota charges Lionel Richard of Eunice with reckless driving on Aug. 31 which brought about an accident in which the affiant's wife was injured in addition to causing property damage.
Seeman Glasscock, president of Champ Auto Sales, Inc., charges that Percy Wimberley did on or about April 22, 1954, commit perjury while testifying in a matter entitled Champ Auto Sales, Inc., vs. Percy Wimberley, Case No. 16,253, 15th judicial district, Acadia.
Glasscock also charges Wimberley with disposing of a mortgaged truck with fraudulent intent to defeat the mortgage.
Joe Guidry of Lafayette charges Nestor Thibodeaux of Rayne with attempted burglary in t h e 1st ward.
Guidry also charges Thibodeaux with on August 29 committing simple battery on Orasie G. Thibodeaux by striking her with a belt.
Joseph Picard of Church Point charges Horace Hiedt eaf DeQuincy with simple kidnaping by ab-
