Election Closing Violation, Bigamy Affidavits Filed

CROWLEY, La. — Three affidavits have been made in the office of Judge Edmund Reggie, charging violation of the election closing law, bigamy, and disturbing the peace.

Deputy Elton Arceneaux charges Desbra Duplechien of Eunice with opening his place of business wherein he sold intoxicating liquor on election day in the 7th ward of Acadia parish.

Eugene Laviolette of Crowley charges Bill Louis McAlleh with committing bigamy on July 21 by marrying Norma Jean Breaux, the fact that McAllen was already married being unknown to Norma Jean Breaux. Laviolette also charges McAllen with disturbing the peace on July 28.
