CROWLEY, La. — A formal charge of murder was filed i n the office of Judge Edmund M. Reggie here today against Wallace Walker and Alfred Thibodeaux, 19-year-old Negro farm laborers of the Mowata area, by Alcee Valery of Branch.

Valery charges the two Negro youths with murder in the Sunday afternoon fatal stabbing of h i s sort, Ernest Valery, 23.

Walker has admitted to the Acadia sheriff that he stabbed Valery to death with a snap-blade Texas jack-knife during a fight on a rural road 12 miles northeast of Cro*ley. Walker said Alfred Thibodeaux was fighting with Valery at the time the death blow was inflicted. He said that he stabbed Valery in. the upper chest after Thibodeaux shouted to him to kill Valery.

Walker told Sheriff W. V. Larcade that he and Thibodeaux were armed with knives during the altercation and that Valery was not, armed. Yesterday Walker directedi deputies to the scene of the slaying where the knife Thibodeaux h" 'vas recovered. The knife, a
