Demo Committee Certifies Acadia Parish Candidates
CROWLEY, La. — The Acadia Democratic Executive Committee has sent in the names of three men to the Secretary of State to be placed on the July 27 Democratic primary election ballot as candidates for the office of town marshal of Rayne and the names of two men as candidates for a school board post in the fourth ward.
Certified as candidates at the committee's• meeting here Thursday afternoon were Delpha Stelly, Pierre Menard, and Morris Touchet for Rayne marshal and Isaac Fruge 'and Louis Simar for fourth wPrd school board member.
Declared! the Democratic nominees by virtue of no oppostion were the following:
Judge Edmund M. Reggie, Crowley and Ward 6 judge; C. J. Duhon. Crowley and Ward 6 marshal; Judge James. C. Arceneaux, Jr., Rayne and Ward 1 judge; Ovey Arceneaux and Willie P. Arceneaux, Ward 1 school board members; Albert Venable, Ward 2 school board member; and John Wright, Ward 6 school board member.. , •
