Bulk Of Court
CROWLEY, La.—Traffic violations continue to furnish the bulk of the docket being presented to Judge Edmund M. Reggie in the Crowley C it y Court.
Ten such offenses were handled at Wednesday afternoon's session.
After pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated. Lyndell McCortney was fined $100 and costs and ordered to attend three sessions of the Driver Improvement School.
Through counsel, Essie Mac LeDoux entered a plea of not guilty to driving while intoxicated and her trial was set for Jan. 25. Trial was also set for Jan. 25 for Marion Crout, charged with reckless driving.
Two 17 year old boys were given 20 - day suspended sentences after pleading guilty to reckless driving. They were Herbert Joseph Meaux and Michael D. Brecheen. They were also ordered to the Driver Improvement School.
Forfeiting bonds for disturbing the peace by fighting were Franklin Carmouche and James Montgomery. Forfeiting a bond for DP by being intoxicated was Dale Breaux. Forfeiting bonds for DP by alarming the public were Lawrence We I c h, Jr., and Daley Campbell, Jr. Other bonds forfeited were by Gloria Nell Hoffpauir, simple battery; a n d Eddington J. Breaux, driving while intoxicated. Breaux received no other penalties since he is in t he
Army and is under orders to report for duty in Vietnam. Bonds forfeited through t h e Traffic Violations Bureau were Sanders V. Bertrand, failure to yield; Sharon Reynolds, following too closely; Edward A. John, running stop sign; and Donald Stelly, improper parking.
