The financial report showed that the estimated cost of setting up the Crowley City Court Driver Improvement School was within the $600 previously budgeted for this project. After much discussion. Core summarized the remarks concerning organizational structure, funds, and participation in the Council.
Core stated, "It is felt (1) that we must implement a strong organizational structure with designation of divisions a n d appropriate committees. To form these committees will (a) afford broader participation from the citizenry (b) afford formation of working commit. tees. Much research will be necessary in order to discover local needs in the field of safety, therefore I think our decision to hire a part time se. cretary to work under our manager will expedite this organizational endeavor (2) it is my opinion that we do not desire to use the word member as regards the Council, but rather to use the word sponsor We can solicit our funds from sponsors and thus allow our general populace to participate in this program without the burden of dues in cases where it would be burdensome (3) participation, cooperation and results are our goals.
