26 Traffic Violators
Given Fines In Court
CROWLEY, La. —Twenty:six traffic violations cases were processed in Crowley CiJy Court by Judge Edmund M. Reggie from a docket prepared by the Crowley Police Department.
Only one of the cases went to trial. In this instance, Melvin Batiste was found guilty of reckless driving and was fined $35 and costs or 30 days in jail. He was also ordered to attend three sessions of the Driver Improvement School.
The heaviest sentence of the session was meted out to Mrs. Calvin Guillory. Judge Reggie fined her $100 and costs or 30 days for driving while intoxicated and ordered her to three
sessions of the Driver Improvement School.
After pleading guilty to disturbing the peace by fighting, Patrick Senegal and Herbert Brown were each fined $15 and costs or 10 days in jail.
Forfeiting a bond for using loud and offensive language was Gladys Dioron, and forfeiting his bond for simple battery was Emile Morgan, Jr.
Forfeiting bonds through t h e Traffic Violations Bureau for running a stop sign were Rene R. Richard, Lawrence Lemoine, Astrid Peterson, Wadie Wilridge, David Black, Jr., Travis P. Boudreaux, Milton Breaux, Enlice Marceaux, Winnie Cole
man, and Harry Guidroz. Forfeiting bonds for running red lights were John H. Lormend, Jr., Eddie Loggin, Sr., Willie Lavergne, and Ervin J. Saltzman.
Forfeiting bonds for speeding were Cleveland Baker, Kerney P. Saltzman, Albert Leger, Benjamin Corbins, Elwood J. LeBlanc, nad Weldon Cashi. 1
Richard H. Collins forfeited
his bond for reckless driving and was ordered to the Driver School. Others forfeiting were Charles Eaglin, improper parlok, ing; Euclide Broussard, improper turn: and Joseph Warren, improper muffler.
