CROWLEY, La. — Christmas celebration caught up with overenthusiastic participants t o d a y when City Judge Edmund Reggie signed a total of. 24 charges ranging from reckless driving to disturbing the peace by fighting.
Nine of the charges grew out of Christmas Day brawl at Lee and Flea's Snack Bar, 824 West Second. AR charges resulting f r o m fights over the holiday weekend were filed by City Policeman Joseph E. Meche, Jr.
Charged with disturbing t h e peace by fighting, but not connected with the scuffle at Lee and Flea's Bar, were Adrian J o h n, RFD Breaux Bridge, and Leeman Mouton, Ave. C in Crowley.
The nine persons charged with disturbing the peace by taking part in the barroom brawl were Myrtis Harmon of Anahun, Tex.; Rufus Bias, 1620 West 7th. St.; Wade Bias, 1620 West 7th St.; St.• Au- drey Caudgest Simon, 1213 West 6th St.; John Curtis Bias, 1018 West 4th St.; Walter Bias; 812 West 3rd St.; Clifton Simon, 1213 West 6th St.; Mary Clement, 526 Western Ave.; and Whitney Clement, 526 Western Ave,
Also charged with .litui0ing the peace by fighting w Mary Lee Yokum, 621 West 5th St., and Joseph White, 621 West 5th St. Officer Meche, who also filed these charges, stated the fight to o k place at Minix's Bar in Crowley.
Lester Guidry, 620 West 7th St. in Crowley, has been charged with disturbing the peace by being drunk on Christmas E v e. Walter LaPointe of Crowley i s charged with the same offense.
Joseph Clinton Scott, 428 West 5th St. in Crowley, has been charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor and causing property damage in Crowley.
