Rice Festival
Leaders Named
From Crowley
CROWLEY, Aug. 4— A partial list of chairmen to handle events for the 1954 International Rice Festival was released today by James W. Barnett, general chairman.

J. Hollier, vice president in charge of the agriculthre division, named the following chairmen:
C. A. Brewer and Chester Hyde, joint chairmen of the livestock show division; M. J. Green, chairman of the farm implement division and parade; Emma Wood, Creole cookery contest; Mrs. Alphe LeBlanc and the Crowley Garden Club, window displays; Rufus Walker, rough rice division; and Bill Schendel, clean rice exhibit.
Homer E. Barousse, vice president of the children's division, named the following chairmen:
Bess Toler and Charles S. Gott, joinrchairmen of the junior queen contest and the children's parade.
George Geesey, vice president of special activities, named the following chairmen:
Edmund Reggie and Edwin Edwards, co-chairmen of main stage activities; John Berlinger, street decorations; Maxie Barousse, traffic; and Oday "Bits" Trahan, street dancing.
Coley Prudhomme, vice president of the program division, named the following chairmen:
Louise Chappuis, queen contest; Ralph Van Fosson, grand parade; Rayne Lions Club, frog derby; W. J. Cleveland, duck calling; Paul Green, visiting queens; Kenneth Long, bands; and J. W. Mitchell, bait-casting contest.

J. Cleveland, vice president in charge of the finance division, announced the following chairmen: Vincent P. Daigle, budget; George K. Cutrer, membership; A. B. Core, concessions and carnivals; and the Crowley Business and Professional Women's club, grin' cess ball.
Mrs. Elizabeth L. Barnett will be . secretary-treasurer of the festival and Mrs. Louise Landry Morrow will be office secretary.

ing to S. W. Barnett, general chairman, who made the announcement today.
Gueno will be on the staff of Coley Prudhomme, head of the program division. Hunter is on the staff of W. J. Cleveland, who is in charge of festival financing.
