The wedding of Miss Edwards, announced this past week by her uncle and aunt, Congressman and Mrs. Edwin Edwards, will be an impressive event of December 17 at St. ' Michael's Catholic Church in Crowley, when she will wed Mr. Lynn Diamant of Houston, T e x a s. Hour for the wedding has been set at 6 o'clock in the evening, at a candlelight ceremony.

Italian silk, deigned in the modish long coat effect with pencil slim Skirt. Providing a touch of bridal elegance, a wide banding of rich lace edged the coat hemline, and also provided a sof touch of beauty in the three - quarter length sleeves, which were bordered in the lace. Self - material buttons accented the front closing of t h e Chanel - inspired coat, and her accessories were in black kid, her shoes reflecting the formal note of her costume by use of glimmering jet buckle ornamentation. She was presented a corsage of pale pink sweetheart roses by her hostesses to complement her lovely suit.
Joining her in receiving the guests, her aunt, Mrs. Edwin Edwards, was handsomely attired in winter white silk s u i t, worn with a corsage of pink roses and carnations. Her grandmother, Mrs. C.W. Edwards, was beautiful in a pink crepe afternoon gown, and her corsage was fashioned of feathered pink carnations and pink roses.
Mrs. Nolan Edwards, Mrs. Marion Edwards and Mrs. R.A. Isbell, also aunts of the bride, were recognized with lovely corsages in pink roses and feathered pink carnations, as members of the honored family gioup.
Modish winter ensembles were chosen by the three hostesses f o r the Saturday tea, Mrs. Reggie being smartly attired in a brown woolen dress in blouson fashion richly embroidered in black lacy motif, and accented with black silk belt. Mrs. Frank favored t h e fashionable choice of snowdrift white for her becoming silk two-piece suit, and Mrs. Roadhurst wore a stylish A-line gown in clever new wool and silk combination, designed in a becoming shade of spruce green.
Throughout the reception suite of the Broadhurst home, many beautiful arrangements were noted, and focal point of the hospitality was the large dining table, which held the tea service for the event.

Silver coffee and tea service were provided as well as a sherry service along with many tea dainties and delicacies including varied sandwiches in a choice of appetizing spreads and fillings, delightful cookies, cheese straws, toasted pecans, mints. and other tempting service dishes.
Mrs. Isbell, Mrs. Robert Broadhurst, and Mrs. Emile Joseph shared hostess duties at the refreshment service, a n d Misses Anna and Victoria Edwards were in charge of t h e guest register. Attractive t e a

members of the hospitality
group were presented corsages
by their hostesses designed of pale pink carnations against a background of miniature English ivy and baby's breath.
A number of guests called during the evening hours Saturday to enjoy the delightful hospitality a n d to share a visit with the popular young honoree, who is presently making h e r home in Houston, where she is a member of the faculty at Webster Elementary School at the NASA installations between Houston and Galveston. 1 The prospective bridegroom is an astro-physicist at the Space
