1 of Christmas lighting- entries was set for December 19, and two divisions will be considered by an out-of-town panel of judges. These will include the religious theme and any other Yule theme, with judging to be based on residential and non-residential (business, public or any other type of entry).

eration of everyone, the Garden Club hopes to make Crowley the true "City of Christmas".
As a special part of this year's observance, Mrs. N e d Wilson will contact local hi gh schools to interest students in decorating empty store windows in the business section, the idea being to make these windows resemble giant Christmas cards through the artistry of the students. Mrs. Broadhurst h a s been appointed to enlist the assistance of all local schools in decorating their buildings a n d grounds for Christmas.
Mrs. Vincent P. Daigle h a s been named as chairman for the judges, and they are to be selected from qualified out - of-town people. She will entertain them before and after their tour of the city to select t h e winners on the night of December 19.
This year, handsome yard plaques will be presented to the winning entries, and this portion of the Christmas lighting contest is in charge of Mrs. Petitjean who will have the plaques designed and made. Mrs. Daigle is to contact the financial institutions and Cleco for assistance in providing the plaques and cash awards for t h e winners.
Mrs. Reggie reminds the public that the Crowley Garden Club is sponsoring this year's lighting contest to make the city a place of gay holiday decorations and bright Christmas lights in keeping with the joyous season, and she and members of her committee urge everyone to begin planning now I to enter the lighting competi-
