State's Youngest Jurist is Speaker
Judge Edmund Reggie of the 1City Court of Crowley, Louisiana, will discuss Governor E a r 1 K. Long's legislative program as the principal speaker at the YMBC g en era I membership luncheon-meeting today at 12:10 p.m. at the Roosevelt Hotel, pr o g ram chairman James Ganus has announced.
Born in Crowley in 1926, Judge Reggie's ardent and effective support of Governor Long brought him in 1950 the distinction of being the youngest judge in the United States, when he was named to fill the vacancy left by the death of Judge Dennis Canan.
Since that appointment Judge Reggie has been twice re-elected to his judicial position, and at the present time remains the youngest judge in Louisiana.
