CITY JUDGE Edmund Reggie of Crowley took the oath of office at 11 a. m. today as administered by F. M. Fontenot, Acadia parish clerk of court, after officially receiving his appointment and Commission from Gov. Earl K. Long to succeed the late Judge Denis T. Canan. Judge Reggie at 24 is believed to be the youngest jurist in the state of Louisiana. The new Crowley city and ward six judge was associated in law with Judge Canan until the elder jurist's death.
