' when. a St. Michael's student, to go on then to cop many honors. in extemporaneous and after-dinner speaking and in oratory, being named Louisiana's outstanding speaker among college students and later top man in the church province comprising seven states. Emile, Sr., through his KC work has become almost professional in excellence in the speech field, too going all over the state addressing groups as state deputy of the KC.
Not many things in the way of , "words of tongue or pen" much sadder than the last few lines of the story in yesterday's Signal regarding yhe pressing shop and the small house which burned, "No insurance was carried by • the owners of either building. . "
Should be a matter of honest 'civic pride with us that our police department is credited time after time with apprehending "wanted" persons from all over everywhere. Takes a lot of alert' watchfulness, Constant on-guard observation, upon-their-toes, u p-t o-t h e-s econd checking. We commend them for Their care and protection of all of us who are not guilty of any civil or criminal breach of the law.
