CROWLEY, La. Five per-1 sons were sentenced and a large number of bonds were forfeited by Judge Edmund M. Reggie on the city docket of the Crowley -City Court Wednesday afternoon.
Jeffery Lee Echols, an itinerant magazine salesman from Georgia, was fined $100 and costs or 30 days for violating the city ordinance on soliciting in a residential area after entering a guilty plea.
Gerald Broussard, 19, entered a guilty plea to criminal mischief by damaging property and was fined $100 or 30 days. Freddie Boutte was fined $25 or $5 days for simple battery and Michael Simoneaux was fined $15 or 10 days for disturbing the peace by alarming the public.
In a traffic case Sherman Spencer was fined $35 or 20 days for reckless driving and ordered to the Driver Improvement School (DIS).
Forfeiting bonds for disturbing the peace by being intoxicated were Lawrence Meaux, Lloyd Welch, and Duplex Langlinais.

Forfeiting bonds for failure to yield were Oscar Dwin, Janice Duplantis, Lester Mott, Linda Courtney, Patricia S. Hanks, and Ora Cormier.
Forfeiting bonds for disobeying a stop sign were Martin Henry, Alma C. Jacobs, and Austin DeJean.
Forfeiting bonds for running a red light were Donald A. Burgess and Warren Johnson.
Forfeiting bonds for driving too fast for conditions were Thomas J. Rowell, Jr., Dorothy B. Signorelli, Theresa Bertrand, and Hazel Methe.
Forfeiting bonds for following too closely were Edmond Faulk, Randall Richard, and Annie Lee Jackson.

CROWLEY, La. — A light state docket on misdemeanors was handled Wednesday afternoon in the Crowley City Court by Judge Edmund M. Reggie.
Willie Glodd was ordered to pay for the support of his minor child, and the probation officer for the Department of Public Welfare was asked to investigate into the, earnings of Alvin Anthony Broussard of Crowley and Leon Guidry, Jr., of Eunice in order to determine an amount to pay for the support of their minor children.
The city marshal was ordered to arrest Bonnie Andrepont of Iota on a charge of theft and to have her post a bond.
Four charges of theft against Donald Ray Davis of Midland were dismissed inasmuch as he is serving a five-year sentence in the state penitentiary at Huntsville, Tex.
Fined $100 and costs or 30 days and ordered to the Driver Improvement school for driving while intoxicated were Lennis Batiste of Crowley, Curtis J. Trahan of Lake Charles, Rodney Guidry of Rt. 2, Kaplan, and Eva S. Breaux of Crowley.
Donald W. Simon of Rt. 1, Rayne, was fined $100 and costs or 30 days and sent to the DIS for speeding. The sentence was assessed after the district attorney's office had reduced the speeding count from 115 miles per hour to 90. The prosecution accepted Simon's contention that his 1968 model automobile was incapable of attaining a speed of 115 miles per hour.
A total of 27 bonds posted in traffic offenses were ordered forfeited. In addition to having his bond forfeited, Dwight J. Key, charged with using switched license plates, was ordered to the DIS.
