Solicitor Draws Fine
In City Court Here
CROWLEY, La. — Elsworth Keen II entered a guilty plea through his attorney in the Crowley City Court: Wednesday afternoon to soliciting in a residential area for the sale of
merchandise in violation of a, city ordinance and was sentenced to a fine of $50 or 10 days in jail by Judge Edmund M. Reggie.
Fined $15 or 10 days for
disturbing the peace by being intoxicated were Jesse Robinson, Charles Brown, Joseph Brown and George Gantt. Paul W. Richard forfeited a bond for simple battery while Wadell Joseph George and Jerry L. Primeaux forfeited bonds for alarming the public.
On the city traffic docket, bonds forfeited for speeding were ordered for Daniel W. Amy, Declon F. Green, Nancy G. Wells, Donald R. Broussard, Kenneth L. Hargrave, Sheila Veronie, Kathleen T. Hoffpauir, Earline Simar, Anthony Stewart, Emile W. Cormier, Ned J. Dugas, John W. Miers, Frank Pete, and Lloyd Wood.
Kenneth Broussard forfeited a bond for reckless driving and Joseph Ned Stewart forfeited a bond for hit and run driving. Judge Reggie suspended their driver licenses for 90 days.
. Others forfeiting bonds were Harlan P. Richard, failure to yield; Peggy Marie Monte, improper exhaust, and Darrell L. Derrick, no driver license.
Forfeiting bonds for. disobeying stop signs were Jesse D. Foreman, Willie Mae Bias, Helen M. Cain, Alex N. Periou, and Allen L. Trahan. Forfeiting bonds for driving too fast for conditions were Felton Miller, Morris Gray, Harold D. Christ, and Alvin Monceaux.
Lloyd Stephens forfeited a bond for running a red light and Richard Dies was given a suspended sentence for improper mufflers but had to pay court costs.
