The Louisiana Department of Highways will mow the grass along thoroughfares into the city. The project also has the cooperation of the Acadia Parish Police Jury.
Crowley citizens are urged by the operation co-chairmen to deal with abandoned autos, unmowed lots, and other eyesores. An appeal was made that young people and adults alike stop littering city streets with drink cans and cups.
