Vicki's campaign for Secretary, beginning with registration yesterday morning, continues to attract supporters from Beta Clubs throughout Louisiana and from the sound of the clicking crickets that remind Betas to "Click with Vick," the campaign continues to grow.
"I'm deeply appreciative for the support and encouragement that I have been getting from Betas from throughout our state," Vicki stated, "and I want them to know that I will never forget the work they are doing, the effort they are exerting and the campaigning they are doing in my behalf."
She concluded, "It's a marvelous experience meeting so
A lot of people believe that almost everyone in the beautiful Cajun Country of Acadiana speaks French or at least can get along with French pretty well. But that is not true.
It certainly wasn't true for Vicki Reggie, candidate for State Secretary of Beta. The young lady from Notre Dame High in Crowley knew nothing about French until her Freshman year when she took French I. That year she made the highest grade in her class, even competing with many who speak French at home (The only average Vicki has ever made is a perfect A).

Vicki pointed out that "today there is such a blanket indictment against everyone under 25 years old, because some small percentage of young people do things that aren't right or really American, but Thank God there are people like Betas who form a core of intelligent and thinking young Americans who will be the basis for tomorrow's problem solving."
"I wish those who say that all of
youth today is smoking pot, wasting a lifetime on LSD and burning the American flag would be here at this convention," she added, "so they can learn once and for all that we have a healthy, red-blooded Americar youth that thinks very seriously about the future of this country and about the other people of the world and who are willing and
She rated the highest honor grade in the school and returned to Notre Dame for more French.
Today, Vicki is fluent in French. She mastered the foreign language just as she has mastered every undertaking. She has earned a record that is seldom seen for outstanding excellence.

That slogan has been seen and heard a great deal 'at the Beta State Convention that got underway yesterday and which will wind up with election of officers today.
From the moment members of Beta signed in at the registration desk the electric feeling of excitement was in the air and the political fever began to pitch quickly and the sound of the clicking crickets that reminded Betas of the candidacy of Vicki Reggie for Secretary helped pick up the tempo that much more.
Last night Betas from throughout Louisiana met in informal gab sessions and invariably the subject turned to politics and who would be elected to every office, from President on down.
One name that continues to stand out front is Vicki Reggie, who has used a clever and enthusiastic campaign urging members of Beta to "Click with Vick."
