Officer Excellence, Service
Mark Vicki Reggie Platform
"Beta deserves a Secretary. who will be available to travel around the state to participate in Club activities such as in• stallation of officers, ceremonies marking the chartering of a new club and other activities that are undertaken by Beta Clubs across Louisiana."
That is a direct quote from Vicki Reggie, candidate for Secretary, who is campaigning on a platform of excellence in office and service to the members of Beta throughout the state.
"Its the only way I think the office should be operated," Vicki said, "and I pledge that if the convention elects me Secretary that I shall be available for work and assistance to Beta Clubs throughout the state."
Pointing out the need for a close liason between the state officers and the Beta Clubs, Vicki added, "I feel that if the Betas of this state see fit to honor me with this office, I must return that honor by working with them in any venture that will make theirs a better Beta Club."

The attractive auburn haired Notre Dame High junior left no doubt about her ability to master the situation and be a state leader in Beta. As she talked, she quickly and smoothly took care of about a half dozen details that ranged from deciding where a 12 foot banner proclaiming her candidacy would be placed to thanking a group of newly met friends who were reporting on the progress of her campaign from almost every part of the State.
"I would accept the office of Secretary with humility and sincere appreciation if my fellow Betas honor me with their vote, support and election," she said, "and having the confidence and trust of my friends is one of the most treasured assets that I can ever have."
When asked what she would do as Secretary, Vicki quickly pointed out that "all of the candidates for Secretary are good and fine Betas and each of them could, I am sure, keep good minutes and handle correspondence and other details of the office. After all, when you are a Beta, that automatically
