Reckless Drivers Get
Fines Here Wednesday
CROWLEY, La.—Two Crowley men pleaded guilty to charges of reckless driving and one pleaded guilty to a charge of reckless driving causing an accident in Crowley City Court Wednesday and were sentenced to pay $35 and court costs or spend 20 days in jail. Each man was assigned to attend four sessions of the Driver Improvement School by Judge Edmund Reggie.
Charged with reckless driving were Edward Lee Arabie and Tommy Huesers. Charged with reckless driving causing an accident was Leonard Broussard.
A large number of traffic bonds were forfeited as well as several misdemeanor bonds in the session.
Forfeiting bonds for failure to yield were Ray Williams Jr., Lauraine T. Meaux, Sula G. Jones, David Dossman, Karen C. Cupper, John I. Miles, and Dorsey C. Martin Sr.
Forfeiting bonds for disobeying a stop sign were Johnny J. Bourque, Lester C. Foreman, Audrey Bertrand, Paul Marmino, and George Arceneaux.
Forfeiting bonds for disobeying a traffic light were( Gerald J. Constantin, Robert Lee Prather, Albert K. Stutes,
Hillyan Trahan, Henry,
Heyduck, J. D. Vinea, and
Junius J. Martin.
Traveling too fast for conditions resulted in bond forfeiture on the part of Edwin B. Prather, Annie M. Abshire, Ovey Schexnayder, Tommy Walton, and Joseph L. Hornsby.
Forfeiting bonds for speeding were Levans Guidry, Sylvia S. Link, Clara B. Leger, Hubert Hargrave, Larry J. Trahan, Brenda K. Hayes, Harold L. Menard, Clementine Derouen, Raymond M. Bellas, Betty A. Osborne, Gene A. Trumps, Barbara T. Moore, Roice Racca, David M. Sarver, William M. Wale, Steven W. Daigle, Louis L. Cradeur, Eldridge K. Patin, Barbara A. Hoffpauir, Annie Hicks, Lee C. Hebert, and Clotis Pommier.
Bond was also forfeited by Caroline Arceneaux, who was charged with improper backing, and by Michael Stoma, who was charged with making an improper turn.
Several Misdemeanor bonds were also forfeited. Forfeiting bonds for disturbing the peace by being intoxicated were Ivy Trahan and Joseph Brown.
Bonds for simple battery were forfeited by Cary Robinson and Dru Pricilla Trahan.
Disturbing the peace by alarming the public bonds were forfeited by Roland J. Broussard, Louis Bertrand, Howard Gaspard, Leslie Mains and Bobby Jackson.
