She was asked if either McGuire or Kirkpatrick were there at the time and she said, she didn't recall.
"Do you remember if anyone was there at the time of the first call?" Dowling ,asked. •
"Mr. Lupo `(the campaign manager)" she said.
Mrs. Morrison was the last prosecution witness before the trial was recessed until' 1:15 p. m.
ON THE WITNESS stand this afternoon Judge Edmund Reg gie, Crowley city judge, was asked if he knew Gov. and Mrs., Earl Long. He answered' that he' did. Then he was asked if he were here on Jan. 17, 1956.
"I left New Orleans early on the morning of Jan. 17 and' returned on the 18th."-
Q—Did you meet with the Longs while you were herett
A—Yes I did. The meeting was at The Reosevelt.
"The suite was tremendously crowded and the hallways were jampacked with people going in and out of the rooms," he added.
Q—Do you recall hearing a record or a recording being played back?
A—I walked in and out of the rooms 'of the governor's' suite.
I "I saw a tape recorder on the 'floor. A man was playing the tape recorder and I stayed and listened," he added.

As the trlal got under way Jack C. Benjamin, assistant
S. attorney, won permis- sion from Judge Wright to nol prosse two counts of the in- dictment against the trio of defendants. .
These counts concerned con- versations between Morrison and former 1J. S. Sen. William C. Feazel, and between the mayor and U. S. Rep. Hale T. Boggs.
Feazel was unable to appear,said Benjamin, because of a re- cent operation, while Boggs could not appear because of the press of affairs in Washington.
Jurors chosen were Charles Maurice del Corral, Sr., Mil- dred H. MacDonald, James F. Taylor, William G. Kelly, Mrs. Philip W. Elstrott, Anthony J. Cortello, Earl M. Lambert. Jack T. Calamia, Theodore ()finer, Gloria Jastramski, Mrs. Flor- ence: B. Jeansonne and Francis T. Zaffers.
